Leading global customer experience and business process outsourcer has recognised the top talent at its Sheffield site at the business’ annual Star Awards.

Having only been part of the Webhelp family for little more than a year, the talented bunch from Sheffield scooped one of the top Star Awards and came second in another.  The awards, presented at a glittering Cirque du Soleil- themed gala dinner and party in the glamourous surroundings of Edinburgh’s The Hub, were created seven years ago to recognise excellence across the business at a team and individual level.

Michelle Gray won the WOW Factor award and Jonathon Lawery was runner up in the Making a Difference Award.

David Turner said: “I am extremely proud of the whole team in Sheffield. The site has only been with us for just over a year and this was the first Star Awards they were properly eligible to enter. The wealth of talent in Sheffield is exciting and I am pleased and proud to count these people as part of the Webhelp family.

“We chose Michelle to receive the WOW Factor award because she is committed, professional and flexible. She works tirelessly to ensure deadlines are met and a quality product delivered. Her colleagues describe her as someone who displays a real WOW Factor!

“The Making a Difference Award seeks to recognise those individuals who play an important role in their communities and make a real difference to a particular charity. This is always an especially difficult award to judge because so many of our people do great work for local charities and causes. However, this year I am delighted to say that we have selected Jonathon Lawery as a runner up in this category for the great work he does for the Salvation Army.”

Michelle receives a cheque for £1,000 and Jonathon receives a cheque for £500 for his charity, the Salvation Army.
