Our team in Rothesay has presented a cheque for £400 to the residents’ committee of Rothesay retirement home, Foley Court.

Friends of Foley Court is a committee of residents who represent Foley Court retirement home in Rothesay. The committee aim to help the residents by arranging activities and providing games and daily events.

Our Rothesay Ambassadors chose to help the Friends of Foley Court after learning more about the valuable work they do with the home’s residents and the plans they have to arrange more activities in the coming year.

The generous contribution will enable the committee to purchase playing cards, board games and a new television for the residents’ day room.

One of our Ambassadors in Rothesay, Chris Park, is hoping to help the residents learn how to use the internet to make contact with friends and family.

Friends of Foley Court Treasurer, Phil Cornelli, attended our Rothesay site to receive the cheque. During his visit Phil got to meet some of the Rothesay team and learn a little more about the work Webhelp UK does.

Chris was also invited along for a tour of Foley Court in order to gain a better understanding of how the money would be used and the difference it would make to the residents. Commenting on the visit and the Webhelp donation, Chris said:

“It was a privilege to be invited to visit Foley Court and see the various ways in which the committee plan to better the lives of all those who live there. The whole team at Webhelp UK in Rothesay hope to further support the work of the Friends of Foley Court by using our know-how to provide basic internet training for the residents.

“This will allow the residents to make full use of their computer facilities and enable new forms of communication with family and friends.”
